A Rise in NEET 2020 Registrations

With the NEET 2020 registrations closing successfully on January 6, 2020, a rise has been observed in the number of registered candidates.

Since last year, there has been an increase in the number of candidates who register for the NEET by 4.87%. In figures, this percentage amounts to 74,083 candidates.

NEET is an entrance exam for aspirants who want to pursue Under-graduate or Postgraduate courses in the field of Medicine.

The maximum number of applications for NEET 2020 have been received from Maharashtra, with Uttar Pradesh being second in line. 2.28 lakh candidates had applied from Maharashtra, for the NEET 2020 which is to be held on May 3rd, 2020.

According to the news published last year, the other medical entrance exams like AIIMS, JIPMER etc have been scraped off, and NEET has been made the sole exam for admission into the medical courses.

Further, it has also been promulgated that NEET is mandatory for admission into the AYUSH courses and also for the 15% All India Quota seats of Veterinary courses across the country.

NEET has also been made mandatory for the medical aspirants, who want to pursue MBBS abroad.
