BITSAT Application Form 2020

BITSAT Application Form 2020 : With the furor of engineering exams starting again, the initiation has been done by BITSAT 2020. The application form of BITSAT 2020 will be released in tentatively in the third week of December 2019 or the first week of January 2020. The application form will be generated online on the official website of Birla Institute of Technology and Science. The conducting body of the BITSAT 2020 is BITS - Pilani. The exam will be conducted in English. The BITSAT will take place as the Computer Based Test in over 50 exam centers.

Application Procedure of BITSAT 2020

Here’s how to apply for BITSAT. The following steps highlight the application procedure of BITSAT 2020 : 

Step 1: Register online with the required details
Step 2: Fill in the details in BITSAT 2020 Application Form
Step 3: Upload Images in BITSAT Application Form as per the requirements
Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

Application Fee:

Application fee of BITSAT 2020 for the different categories of students is given below:

• For Male candidates – Rs.3150
• For Female candidates fee –Rs.2650
• For Applicants opting Dubai as exam centre – Rs.5600

Mode of Payment:

The aspirants can pay the examination fee through the following modes of payment:

• Net Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card
• Payslips at ICICI Bank

Important Instructions to follow before filling BITSAT Application Form 2020:

All the candidates need to follow the given instructions , hence read them carefully before filling up the BITSAT Application Form 2020.

Step 1: Download the notification of the BITSAT 2020 and go through it carefully, before you start filling up the online BITSAT application form.

Step 2: Kindly use the compatible browsers like Internet Explorer 9+ , Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to fill in the application form. Ensure that the internet connection is uninterrupted during the process of filling in the application form.

Step 3 : Have a working Email address and a phone number, for the registration process.

Step 4: Since the BITSAT 2020 requires online payment, kindly keep all the payment details ready like Debit Card, Card Number, CVV Number etc ready.

Step 5: Ensure that the scanned copies of all the documents, photographs required to fill in the application form are kept ready.

Step 6: Take a print out of Confirmation Page, once you have paid the fee after the successful submission of the BITSAT application form.

Eligibility of BITSAT 2020:

According to the eligibility of BITSAT 2020, the candidate should have obtained a :

1. Minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT)
2. Minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination.
3. At least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.

Eligibility points to be noted:

1. For admission to all the programmes except B. Pharm: 
   - Qualifying Exam : Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent. 
   - Subjects required: Main subjects should have been Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
   - English Proficiency : Should have adequate proficiency in English.

Candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.

2. For admission to B. Pharm :
   - Qualifying Exam : Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with
   - Subjects Required : Physics, Chemistry, and Biology should have been the main subjects.
   - English Proficiency : The candidate should have adequate proficiency in English.
3. Only those students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2020 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2020.
4. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
5. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020.
6. Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2020.
7. The toppers of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2020 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2020 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

BITSAT 2020 Admit Card:

The hall ticket of BITSAT 2020 will be released online in the third week of April 2020 after the successful slot booking process, which will commence tentatively in the first week of April 2020. To download the admit card, candidates will have to enter their email id, username, application number and password.

The students must ensure that all the details mentioned in the admit card to be valid and correct. In case of any discrepancy, the officials in the conducting body of BITSAT 2020, must be informed. 

The students must carry a valid ID proof along with the admit card in order to enter into the exam center.
