Special Relaxation by CBSE to the Wards of Armed and Paramilitary Forces

It has been promulgated by the authorities of CBSE, with respect to its recent notification, that the wards of martyred Armed and Paramilitary forces will be offered with certain exemptions, in the year 2020. The decision to extend these exemptions was taken soon after the Pulwama attack in 2019.

The exemptions by the CBSE, for the wards of the martyred Armed and Paramilitary forces will be as per the following criteria:

• Students of Class X and XII, who wish to change the Boards exam centre allotted to them, to their city of residence will be permitted to do so.
• In case they wish to change the city of exam centre allotted to them, they will be permitted to do so.
• If such students have missed any practical exam, then that exam will be conducted again as per their convenience, by their respective schools by April 2, 2020.
• The request of such students to appear for the examination of any of the subjects offered to them, later, in accordance to their convenience, will be considered by the officials.

The wards of the martyred Armed and Paramilitary forces must communicate their requests to their respective schools who will convey it further to the Regional Office of CBSE by January 31^st, 2020.

Further, CBSE has also decided to provide certain relaxation to students with learning disabilities such as Dyscalculia. The students suffering from these learning disabilities must be registered under the CWSN (Children With Special Needs) category and must display the appropriate Certificate issued to them by the authorities, in order to avail the exemptions. Such students will be allowed to use calculators.
