What is NEET (UG)?
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET (UG)) is a national level entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
A candidate can apply for the NEET only ONLINE by logging on to www.cbseneet.nic.in Download the Information Bulletin. Read it carefully to understand eligibility criteria and other requirements for submission of online application. Read the instructions and procedure for on-line submission of Application Form carefully.

Generation of confirmation page confirms the correctness and final submission of application form. If confirmation page has not been generated, this means that application has not been submitted successfully.

- A student must have completed an age of 17 years at the time of admission under NEET eligibility or should complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
- The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years as on the date of examination under NEET eligibility with relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST category.
The following students are allowed to appear in NEET 2019:
- Indian Nationals
- Non Resident Indians (NRIs)
- Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs)
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)
- Foreign Nationals
There are 7 eligibility codes in total. A student is required to select any 1 of them. Different codes are for different situations. Before applying for NEET exam, read all 7 codes properly.

In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for a particular academic year, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained:

- Kalpana Kumari from Bihar has emerged as the All India Topper in the NEET 2018, scoring 691 marks out of 720 in the exam
- CBSE will conduct the NEET (UG)–2019, evaluate the Answer Sheets and the result will be hosted on website cbseneet.nic.in.
- The CBSE will prepare the merit list as per the directives of, DGHS, MCI and DCI.
- No category wise result sheet will be prepared. As soon as the result is ready, CBSE will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets.
- All Candidates appearing in NEET (UG)–2019 must remain in touch with the websites of CBSE, MOHFW, Medical Counselling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in) and Participating States/Universities/ Institutions till conclusion of final round of Counselling.
