BITSAT Result 2020
BITSAT Result 2020:
The notification of BITSAT 2020 will be released by the exam conducting body in
December 2019. The exam form will be released in the month of January in 2020.
The exam form will be generated online on the official website of BITS. The
exam will be conducted in the months of May or June 2020. The result of BITSAT will
be released in the month of June 2020.
Merit List of BITSAT 2020
In order to be
eligible for the BITSAT 2020, the candidate must have secured
1. Minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT)
2. Minimum of
aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has
taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination.
3. At least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/
Biology subjects.
BITSAT Admit Card
The Admit card of
BITSAT 2020 will be generated only if the candidate fulfills all the conditions
of the eligibility criteria. The BITSAT Admit card will consist of the
following details :
- Name of the candidate
- Exam code
- Date of Exam
- Exam centre’s address
- Candidate’s signature and photograph
- BITSAT 2020 application number and Password
- Instructions to be followed for BITSAT 2020
The aspirants must
check their admit cards for any discrepancy in details mentioned in it.
To Download the BITSAT Hall Ticket
In order to get the
admit card, a candidate must follow the below steps:
- Open the BITS admission portal @bitsadmission.com
- Click on the BITSAT 2020 link
- Login while using your application number and password.
- Click on the admit card menu.
- The BITSAT admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Carefully verify all the details mentioned in the admit card.
- Download and take a printout of the admit card.
BITSAT Exam Pattern 2020
The BITSAT 2020 is
a computer based online test, which comprises of a total of 150 questions. The
questions are of Multiple Choice Based questions where each question will have
4 options out which only one will be correct. The students must hence mark the
correct answer for which they will score 3 marks. For every wrong answer the
students will have to face a deduction of 1 mark. No marks will be deducted for
the unanswered questions. The whole exam is divided into 4 sections namely
Physics, Chemistry, English, Mathematics/Biology.
How to check the result of BITSAT?
The candidates must
follow the given steps in order to check their BITSAT 2020 result:
- Visit the official website of BITSAT 2020.
- Click on the link for the result of BITSAT 2020.
- Candidates will have to provide the application number and password.
- Click on Submit
A Score card will
be generated online which will comprise of information such as:
- Total score secured.
- Number of correct answers.
- Number of wrong answers.
Answer Key of BITSAT
The answer key of
BITSAT for the previous years has not been released by the official exam
conducting body. Any information regarding the BITSAT 2020 answer key will be
given in the official brochure of BITSAT 2020.
In scenarios where
the score of any 2 or more candidates is same, then in such cases, the
authorities will have to break the tie using various guidelines:
1. Those candidates who secure higher scores in Mathematics/Biology will be
ranked higher.
2. If the tie still
exists, those candidates who scored higher in Physics will be given preference.
3. However, if the
tie still does not break, the authorities will give preference to those
candidates who scored higher in Chemistry.
4. Finally, if the tie still fails to break, PCB/PCM marks obtained in 12 class
will be considered. Cut off of BITSAT 2020:
The cutoff
comprises of the minimum marks to be secured by a candidate inorder to secure
his or her admission into one of the BITS campuses. Two kinds of cut-off’s are
released by the conducting body : cutoff after iteration and cutoff for the
wait list at the end of iteration. It should be noted that campus wise cutoff
will also be declared by the authorities, though they will be different for
each program and campus selected by the candidates.
